Supermarine Rugby Club - Facilities
The Club caters primarily for Rugby, Archery and Football.
Supermarine RFC has 4 rugby pitches that are excellently maintained, offering the best playing surfaces in the area and most of which can double up for Football.
The main rugby pitch stands in its own surrounds with very high quality floodlighting and has been used on many occasions to host representative matches. We have recently added a sheltered spectators area and have plans to improve spectator facilities further in the near future.
One of the other pitches also carries lighting along each side providing an invaluable 'full pitch' training facility throughout the winter months when many clubs sruggle to train properly.
We have recently installed a separate structure housing a fully equipped gymnasium which has significantly boosted our training options and provides a facility for all players to use at any time of the day. Next stage of this development is to add a Physio room alongside the Gym.
Longer term we have plans to develop two former tennis courts to provide a large all weather training area.
Supermarine Bowmen, the Clubs Archery Section, operate a 180 metre range that is security fenced for safety.
Also on the site are Supermarine Bowls Club, Swindon Supermarine Football Club and Swindon Sub Aqua Diving Club all of whom have self contained facilities and are run as independant organisations.
Due to rececnt health and safety regulations it is regretted that dogs are no longer allowed on club premises.
