Supermarine Veterans XV
The Supermarine Vets rugby section (currently the men though some of the founding members of the Ladies section have expressed some interest in getting a team together if contacted) has been fielding teams since 2005. We play around 8 games a season with a variety of game days including, Saturdays, Sundays and also some midweek games under our impressive floodlights. Although we try to maintain the tradition of over 35's rugby we also take the opportunity to integrate some of the younger club members into this world of fun social rugby where they can also pick up few "tips" from the old timers on and off the field.
We also have been on numerous "off field" excursions previously involving trips to Toulouse, 6 Nations trips to Paris and Dublin as well as forays into deepest Wales for Heineken Cup weekends - being of a certain age then spectating is sometimes a well-lubricated option to some retired players.
