SAFEGUARDING AT SUPERMARINE RFC
At Supermarine RFC, the safety and well-being of everyone involved in our club—especially children, young people, and vulnerable adults—is our highest priority. We are fully committed to providing a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where all participants can enjoy rugby, develop their skills, and grow both on and off the field.

We follow the safeguarding policies and procedures set out by the RFU (Rugby Football Union), ensuring our club remains a safe place for everyone. All coaches, volunteers, and staff undergo appropriate safeguarding training and checks, including DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance, to uphold the highest standards of care and responsibility.

If you ever have a concern or need support, our Safeguarding Officer is available and approachable. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and together, we can create an environment where all our players and members feel respected, supported, and protected.

SAFEGUARDING eCOURSE FROM ENGLAND RUGBY
Safeguarding is a key priority within rugby, and England Rugby provides dedicated eLearning to ensure everyone involved in the game understands their responsibility to create a safe and inclusive environment.
The safeguarding training covers recognising signs of abuse, knowing how to respond to concerns, and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All coaches, match officials, volunteers, and club staff are encouraged to complete the modules to ensure they are confident in applying best practice and following England Rugby’s safeguarding policies. This commitment helps protect players at every level of the game and ensures rugby remains a positive, enjoyable experience for all.
