Supermarine Ladies have been fielding teams since 1990, and celebrate our 35 years this year. We have rebuilt our team after COVID and developed a strong, structured side.
Welcoming new players and promoting the Women’s game in the local community. There is a noticeable rise in players to the game whom have never played before or whom have limited experience. Therefore, we want to work with those players and the local community to develop skill and the team.
We will be partaking in National Champion 1. At the end of the league a cup is run between the North and the South leagues. The travelling for Supermarine is across the entirety of the UK and this provides an even better opportunity for our women.

Greig Evenett
Ladies's Head Coach
Greig Evenett, former player at local team SCOB and then coach, made the move to coaching a women’s side four seasons ago. He shows his commitment by supporting all aspects of the women’s game and is always the one who’s got the fancy dress ready for a social!
Grieg has been a fabulous addition to the ladies' coaching side, coming in as assistant coach and moving up the ranks to be head coach.
Sarah Allen
Ladie's Forwards Coach
Sarah Allen former Supermarine Lady herself, made the move from player to coaching the women’s section two seasons ago.
Sarah has been a staple in the ladies section driving the game for women and girls. She was instrumental in developing the original girls section and now is a committed forwards coach to the ladies section.

Welcome to the Supermarine RFC Girls’ Section!
At Supermarine RFC, we’re proud to provide a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment for girls of all ages to enjoy rugby. Whether you’re completely new to the game or already a keen player, our Girls’ Section offers the perfect place to build confidence, make new friends, and develop your skills both on and off the pitch.
We focus on teamwork, respect, and enjoyment, ensuring every player feels valued and encouraged. With qualified coaches and a thriving community, we’re committed to helping girls reach their potential—whether they want to play for fun, progress through the age groups, or dream of pulling on an England shirt one day.
Today, the club proudly supports mini, youth, and girls teams ranging from age 5 up to 17. All teams are overseen by RFU-qualified coaches, some of whom are active senior players or long-term club supporters. These teams train and play throughout the season—Sundays during the regular season, with taster sessions available for new joiners

Training: Wednesdays 6-7 pm and Sundays 11.30-1.30

Anna Beckett
Girl's Head Coach
Anna Beckett is the current Supermarine Ladies vice captain. beginning her rugby journey at university and playing for an inner warrior league.
She stepped up her game to play at Supermarine RFC two seasons ago. She is passionate about rugby and making it accessible to all women and girls in Swindon.
This is her first season coaching but she is ready and raring to go!
Sam Briggs
Womens & Girls Chair
Sam Briggs is the Womens and girls chair and wants rugby to be easily accessible for women and Girls in Swindon.
She is spreading this by becoming part of the coaching team for the girls section, Sam played for Supermarine ladies till she was injured.
Christian Slade
Girl's Team Manager
Christian Slade is girls manager, he shows amazing support to his daughter who is in the side.
He became the manager of the section and has links to Gloucestershire RFU. Christian is eager to access the best opportunities for Supermarine Girls to develop their skills and playing opportunities.
